Artist, Sculptor, Animator
Born in Sydney, Australia, Duane “Scott” Noon demonstrated early signs of creativity when he started painting tropical beach scenes in oil and began piano lessons at age 6. He moved to the U.S. in the mid 1960s and was educated in Florida.

Duane’s career in art has been multifaceted. Beginning by carving leather belts by hand, he advanced to owning his own business which created many of the popular belt designs worn during the 1980s and 1990s.
He made a transition to doing special effects for film and television. In 1991, he was awarded by Florida Film & Television Association “Best Special Effects” for one of his television commericals.
As a highly skilled sculptor and animator, Duane worked on projects for Disney such as Lion King, Pocahontas, Disney’s World on Ice as well as projects with Imagineering. With similar credits attached to his work for Universal Studios, a number of films, television commercials and animatronic projects.

Duane did the sculpting and prototype work for more than a dozen toys which are sold worldwide and has done prototype sculpting and master tooling for the “hush kits” (used on DC-8 and Boeing 707) aircraft engines. Duane’s large-scale scenic sculptures and structural facades at municipal and theme park locations are prominently featured across the country. His work can also be seen in many galleries, museums and private collections.

In Duane’s own words, “I began doing limited edition bronze sculpture by inspiration to create artwork which reflects the motion and mood of the subject at hand, whether it be wildlife or a whimsical piece created simply for levity.”
